Who is NIPOST?
The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) is Nigeria's national postal authority, established under the Nigerian Postal Service Act, Cap N127, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN) 2004. NIPOST operates under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy and is led by the Postmaster General of the Federation / Chief Executive Officer.
NIPOST is responsible for the provision and regulation of postal, courier, and logistics services across Nigeria. As the designated universal service provider, NIPOST maintains a nationwide network of postal and service-delivery infrastructure, ensuring that communications and logistics services are accessible to all Nigerians, regardless of location.
Beyond its operational mandate, NIPOST also serves as the principal regulator of the courier and logistics industry in Nigeria, licensing and overseeing all private courier and logistics service operators.

Shaping Safe Delivery Standards
With growing demand and rising operators, the Courier/Logistics Regulatory Department was established in 2002 to ensure industry oversight and standards.
Implementing the Courier/Logistics Regulatory Guidelines under the NIPOST Act 41 of 1992.
We handle the issuance and renewal of operating licenses, monitor and enforce industry standards, support capacity building, and work with stakeholders to create a sustainable environment for Courier/Logistics services in Nigeria.
